Handmade SwaziMUD™ Beads

Our SwaziMUD™ beads are handmade at Project Canaan in Eswatini, Africa by the Khutsala™ Artisans. These beads are made from African mud that is hand-rolled and then baked in a kiln for 8 hours. After the beads are hardened, they are hand glazed and then baked again for another 8 hours turning them into uniquely colored ceramic beads.

What is Project Canaan?

Over 50% of the population living in Eswatini, Africa is living below the poverty line. Project Canaan is a 2,500-acre farm located in Eswatini that employs over 100 artisans and provides a fair wage to them to help support their livelihood and their families. 

100% of the profits from the sale of Khutsala™ Artisans goods is then donated to support the children currently living at the Project Canaan farm.
