Such a pretty display of colors and sparkle, is this antique millefiori brooch of Italian Venetian Murano lampworked glass, featuring an array of colorful flowers, circa early 20th century.

The millefiori (or “a thousand flowers’) cab consists of a sliced cane of lampworked glass in a scalloped shape, with tiny millefiori designs in colors and shades of blue, red, yellow, and white, accented with dots of goldstone mica, over a black ground.

It is set in a brass toned bezel and cut out brass rope frame, measures approximately 1&3/8 inches wide by ¾ of an inch high, has a c-catch, and weighs 8.9 grams.
